Lk 24:35-48
The two disciples recounted what had taken place on the way,
and how Jesus was made known to them
in the breaking of bread.
While they were still speaking about this,
he stood in their midst and said to them,
"Peace be with you."
But they were startled and terrified
and thought that they were seeing a ghost.
Then he said to them, "Why are you troubled?
And why do questions arise in your hearts?
Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself.
Touch me and see, because a ghost does not have flesh and bones
as you can see I have."
And as he said this,
he showed them his hands and his feet.
While they were still incredulous for joy and were amazed,
he asked them, "Have you anything here to eat?"
They gave him a piece of baked fish;
he took it and ate it in front of them.
He said to them,
"These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you,
that everything written about me in the law of Moses
and in the prophets and psalms must be fulfilled."
Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.
And he said to them,
"Thus it is written that the Christ would suffer
and rise from the dead on the third day
and that repentance, for the forgiveness of sins,
would be preached in his name
to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
You are witnesses of these things."

Each Tuesday Weekly adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
Weekly adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will be held EACH Tuesday immediately following the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Devotions from noon to 9:00 p.m. beginning November 9. To ensure that there is always someone in attendance during the entire time, we are asking for 7 volunteers to commit to be present for a specific one-hour segment EACH TUESDAY OF NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER. Since the Blessed Sacrament cannot be left unattended, each one-hour attendant will be responsible to be present at their selected time or secure a replacement. You can select the hour of your choice on the signup sheet in the church vestibule or call the parish office at 908-725-0072.

Dear Parishioners,
Our Jubilee of 105-years of Roman Catholic Parish Life in Manville is once again an excellent opportunity to “Remember our past, celebrate our present and secure our future”. It is also a call to renew and deepen our faith in Jesus who by his passion and resurrection has conquered death and sin. His resurrection is not just a fact of history to be retold. It is a mystery to be lived every day.
During this special time of grace, may Christ the Redeemer, who defeated death and evil, bestow upon you many graces. May He strengthen your faith, give you happiness, protect you and your loved once. May God reward your generosity and support of our Parish. Have a HAPPY EASTER!

Edwina E. Andreyko
February 14, 1931 - February 16, 2024
Edwina E. (nee Johnson) Andreyko, 93, entered into eternal life on Friday, February 16, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Senior Home & Nursing Center in Woodbridge with Jesus by her side.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Edwina’s viewing on Sunday, February 25, from 2-5 p.m. and on Monday, February 26, from 8-8:30 a.m. at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835. Funeral services will begin on Monday, February 26, at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral mass at Christ the Redeemer Parish in Manville. Committal words and interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough, NJ.
Joseph A. Wass, 94. passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 surrounded by his wife and children.
The visitation will be on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM at the Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd., Manville, NJ 08835. The Funeral Mass will follow on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 9:00 AM at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will be Private.
In the face of death, the Church confidently proclaims that God has created each person for eternal life and that Jesus, by his death and resurrection, has destroyed death forever.
Christians celebrate the funeral rites to offer worship, praise and thanksgiving to God for the gift of life which has now been returned to God, the author of life. We pray for the person who has died - asking for the forgiveness of sin and the gift of everlasting life.
